Vans & Beaks

By Cameron Taylor

Notes
Drinking the spirit of creation
A lustre for life in imagination
A worlds that go unseen
So that it can collide
In a brilliant array of blues and greens
In the public
People yelling “where have you been?”
Silenced by wonder
Feeling more of you in that moment
Than most feel over life times
drained
With lost souls.
Rained on under blue skys
Smiling under false eyes
With lost souls.
But you’re a guide on the river,
A bright light giver
A cool drink and a warm smile
A moment for them to decide
If what they’ve chosen is “right”
To no one else but them.
And without a push or a hurry
They walk back onto shore
And you’re left to explore again,
Drinking the spirit of creation
Pushing back
Slowly
Into the cave of your mind.
